BAPHOMET
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
WHO ARE THEY?
Baphomet is a Pagan entity that represents duality and balance. Most people work with Baphomet in order to become more peaceful, understanding, and balanced. Baphomet is often referred to as ‘Satan’ or ‘The Devil’, which isn’t true. People mostly say that because Baphomet has pentacle on their head and they have the head of a goat.
BASIC INFO:
Appearance: in some Pagan traditions, Baphomet is seen as a symbol of balance and unity between the divine masculine and Divine Feminine, represented by a human figure with the head of a goat. In other traditions, Baphomet is considered the personification of the primordial chaos and oblivion. In some folklore and myths, Baphomet was a symbol of fertility and reproductive power, and was often depicted as a hermaphrodite or a hybrid creature.
Personality: Baphomet is often depicted as a fierce and formidable entity, representing the destructive and chaotic forces of nature. Although they can seem intimidating and unpredictable, they also have a nurturing and compassionate side. Their personality is often reflected in the dual nature of Baphomet, where they are both masculine and feminine, gentle and fierce, peaceful and intense. They are a symbol of balance and unity, the meeting point of opposites and contradictions.
Symbols: pentagram, head of a goat, human body with an animal head, pentacle, sword, key, male and female, and the words "As above so below"
God/Goddess of: sexuality, demonic forces, wisdom, nature, balance, darkness, and pride

MISC:
• Male and female: Baphomet is often depicted with both male and female characteristics, symbolizing the unity of the masculine and the feminine.
• Good and evil: Baphomet is an entity of balance, symbolizing the interplay between good and evil in nature and in life.
• Goats: they are often portrayed as a goat-like creature with horns.
• Knowledge and wisdom: Some people associate Baphomet with knowledge and wisdom because of the book "The Sworn Book of Honorius," in which Baphomet is said to have been a wise and knowledgeable teacher who imparted his wisdom to a select group of initiates. Additionally, Baphomet is also associated with alchemy and the quest for wisdom and knowledge through mystical and magical means. In some interpretations, Baphomet is seen as a symbol of the attainment of spiritual knowledge and wisdom through the pursuit of esoteric practices and the integration of the masculine and feminine aspects of the self.
• Power and strength: Baphomet is often associated with power and strength because the image of the deity is often portrayed as being powerful and fearsome. The image of Baphomet typically shows a figure with the head of a goat, a pentagram on its forehead, and a torch between its horns. In many interpretations, Baphomet is seen as a symbol of the balance of masculine and feminine energies. The goat’s head represents masculine power and the torch represents knowledge and wisdom, while the pentagram represents the integration of the two energies.
• Rebellion: they are often associated with rebellion because of its history as a symbol of the Knights Templar, who were accused of heresy and blasphemous rituals involving a figure resembling Baphomet. Historically, the image of Baphomet has often been seen as a symbol of defiance against authority, as it was adopted by various occult and counter-cultural groups who sought to challenge mainstream religious and societal norms. The image of Baphomet has also been used by some modern satanist movements as a symbol of individual freedom and independence from traditional religious and societal constraints.
• Freedom and individuality: Baphomet is often associated with individual freedom and individuality because it is seen as a symbol of personal empowerment and the rejection of societal constraints. In modern interpretations, Baphomet is viewed as a symbol of the individual's ability to break free from conformity and tradition and to forge their own path in life. The image of Baphomet has also been adopted as a symbol by various marginalized communities, such as the LGBTQ+ community, as a representation of their desire for acceptance and the freedom to live as their authentic selves without fear of discrimination or persecution.
• Chaos: they are often associated with chaos because the image of the symbol has been used by various occult and counter-cultural groups as a symbol of chaos and revolution. Historically, the image of Baphomet has been seen as a symbol of rebellion and disruption of the status quo. In some interpretations, Baphomet is also seen as a symbol of the primal chaos that existed before the creation of the universe. Some practitioners of chaos magic also use the image of Baphomet as a symbol of the chaotic forces of nature and the rejection of traditional religious and societal norms.
• Sexuality: Baphomet is often associated with sexuality because the image of the symbol has been adopted by various occult and counter-cultural groups as a representation of the human impulse towards carnal desire and pleasure. Additionally, the image of Baphomet also has undertones of sexuality because the figure has both masculine and feminine features, representing the union of opposites and the integration of both masculine and feminine energies. In some interpretations, Baphomet is also seen as a symbol of the celebration of the physical body and the rejection of repressive societal standards for pleasure and desire.
• Nature: they are often associated with nature because the image of the symbol is often depicted with natural elements, such as trees and animals. The image of Baphomet often features a goat's head, which is a symbol of the natural world and the connection between humans and the animal kingdom. Additionally, Baphomet is also sometimes depicted in natural settings, such as forests and mountains, which further reinforces the connection between the symbol and the natural world. In some interpretations, Baphomet is also seen as a symbol of the interdependence of all living things and the interconnectedness of the natural world.
• Magic and witchcraft: Baphomet is often associated with magic and witchcraft because the symbol has been used by various occult and counter-cultural groups as a representation of the mysterious and otherworldly aspects of spirituality. In some interpretations, Baphomet is also seen as a symbol of mystical knowledge and the power of the individual to shape reality through supernatural means. The image of Baphomet is often used in magical rituals and ceremonies as a focus for the channeling of supernatural energies. Some practitioners of magical traditions, such as the Church of Satan and the Temple of Set, have adopted the image of Baphomet as a central symbol in their magical practices.
FACTS ABOUT BAPHOMET:
• The imagery of Baphomet has become a symbol of the Satanist church, with variations on the iconography being used by other satanists.
• Baphomet is a figure in the Gnoetics who often represents the synthesis of female and male principles.
• The figure of Baphomet is believed to have originated among Gnostics, a group who blended early Christian and Greek-Roman mythology.
• Role: they are believed to represent the balance of male and female and the union of good and evil, acting in many ways as a symbol of the Satanist.
• Associations: they are often associated with the concept of balance, as well as various other aspects of Gnosticism, such as the concept of the duality of existence, the synthesis of opposing forces, and the merging of opposites.
• It is said that Baphomet symbolized the balancing of the inner animal nature with spirituality and intelligence.
• Baphomet is considered to be a symbol of the balance of opposites, blending the masculine and feminine elements into a singular whole.
HOW TO INVOKE BAPHOMET:
You must ask Baphomet if they want to work with you. Baphomet is a deity, so you shouldn’t be commanding them or telling them what to do. You must be patient with them. (Watch out for trickster spirits). Respectfully ask them to give you a sign, and if you’re respectful enough, you might as well get an answer.
If they answer YES, you can create an altar to be more connected, but if you cannot then have something that reminds you of them. It can be small and simple.
If they answer NO, respectfully apologize for disturbing them. If you connected through an object then you don’t have to throw it out, you can cleanse it and get rid of that intention. If it’s something from nature, you can bury it.
PRAYER FOR BAPHOMET:
Great Lord Baphomet, keeper of balance and bringer of harmony, I come to you seeking your wisdom and protection. I offer myself to you, my heart and my spirit, and I ask for your blessing in this prayer.
Thank you, Great Lord Baphomet, for walking by my side and guiding me on this path. I depart from this space with balance and peace in my heart and with a sense of purpose and direction. Hail Lord Baphomet.

Hi! I like your RWBY metas. I had some questions related to a few headcanons and observations I have. Ruby being the one to save Cinder from her Grimm corruption with the silver eyes is fitting. It’s been set up consistently through the story with the way the eyes are linked directly to Cinder as her bane. The eyes are linked to the GoL’s creation, and the preservation of light. However, Jaune’s semblance is also linked to the same things, and linked to Cinder as well. Do you think Cinder’s salvation could come as a result of Ruby’s silver eyes and Jaune’s semblance working in tandem? The silver eyes do destroy the Grimm, but they also damage her body. Jaune’s semblance is based around protection and healing. Is there a synthesis to be reached there?
Hi!
Thank you for your nice words!
So, about Jaune's semblance, it is definately possible it will play a role together with Ruby's eyes.
After all, Jaune's semblance has been a recurring element in the different climaxes of the series:
In Vale, he does not have it and he fails to do anything (ignorance)
In Mistral, he unlocks it and saves Weiss (creation)
In Atlas, he realizes he has not enough time to use it to save Penny (destruction
In Vacuo (or Vale if we have a final mini-arc there), he might have to choose if to use it to save Cinder or not :)
That said, my personal favorite headcanon when it comes to Jaune and Cinder is that Jaune will symbolically become Cinder's maiden at heart.
What is a maiden at heart?
So far, every arc has had three maidens:
The first is a very minor character, who ties into the plot (Amber, Vernal, Fria). They are relevant plot-wise and when it comes to foiling to more important characters. That said, they are not super important characters
The second is the maiden, who ends up having the powers. They are Cinder, Raven and Winter. They are important characters, but they do not really embody the theme of their gift.
The third is a character who embodies the Gods' gift. They are Pyrrha for choice, Yang for knowledge and Penny for creation.
Winter: No, Penny. You were always the real Maiden at heart.
They are the ones, who deserve the powers, but do not get it. And yet, they are the real maidens of the arc and they teach the viewers and the titular maidens what choice, knowledge and creation are all about.
Yang shows Raven that acquiring knowledge does not mean to become a coward. She also wins against her mother in their wisdom battle. Yang gets self-knowledge, whereas Raven avoids who she has become.
Penny shows Winter what creation is by symbolically "creating" her with her final acts. She shows her creation is rooted in love and freedom, rather than in repression and duty. She is Pinocchio, who creates the Blue Fairy.
So, what about Cinder and Pyrrha? They do not get to have this exchange because they fail to communicate:
Pyrrha: Do you believe in destiny? Cinder: Yes.
Like the other couples of Maidens, Cinder and Pyrrha meet during the climax of an arc and the Maiden at heart tries to teach the titular Maiden an important truth.
The problem is that Cinder kills Pyrrha before she can fully express what Choice and Destiny are really about. However, Pyrrha has taught someone about the gift she embodies:
Pyrrha: Do you believe in destiny? Jaune: Um... I-I don't know. I guess that depends on how you view it. Pyrrha: When I think of destiny, I don't think of a predetermined fate you can't escape. But rather... some sort of final goal, something you work towards your entire life.
Jaune is the only one, who has been explained by the Maiden of Choice what Choice is. So, he should be the one, who passes this Knowledge to the Maiden with power. This would be the perfect climax for his arc because:
He would symbolically integrate with Pyrrha by inheriting her mission and her most noble traits
He would solve his ongoing conflict with Cinder by finally coming to terms with Pyrrha's death
Moreover, in this way he would symbolically become Cinder's Maiden at Heart, which would fit perfectly with Jaune's arc and allusion. Jaune's arc is one of integration with the anima, where he integrates his feminine traits. After all, he is Jeanne d'Arc, who is famous as both a warrior and maid. So, it is just right that in the end Jaune grows into a true maiden.
When it comes to Cinder's allusion:
Ruby is set up to be Cinder's Prince aka the one, who saves her
Jaune might be set up to be Cinder's fairy aka the one, who guides her towards her destiny
It would also fit with Ruby and Jaune's inverted gender archetypes. We'll see!

Prayer To Athena by Liz “Morning Dove” La Posta
Oh, wise Athena with your spear and shield, protect me and my family from injustice and harm. Council me with your wisdom so that I may make the best decisions. Grant me success in my endeavors, but keep me humble so that I might not become condescending to others. I thank you for the many times you have guided me on my Path. Share with me your mysteries and I will do my best to follow. Athena my Goddess, I pray this in your sacred name, and I vow to always be your faithful dedicant.
Prayer to Athena for Wisdom
Clear-eyed Athena, unrivaled in wisdom, daughter of Zeus and Metis whose craft and wit excelled among the mighty Titans: Athena, I pray to you. Wise in all things you are, goddess; your cunning and guile are well known. In time of war you have no equal in tactics or in strategy; many armies have you guided to victory. In time of peace your blessings fall on those whose work is of the mind–friend of the philosopher, the scientist, the student. Advisor of kings, patron of clever heroes and bold-hearted adventurers, defender of the thinker, mistress of reason and understanding, goddess to whom a strong arm and a sharp sword are nothing without the sense to wield them well and the insight to know when words are worth more than weapons. Athena, grant me a sound mind and steady temper, bless me with good judgment, show me the long view.

The Owl
I picked up the pen and let it come out. No corrections or thoughts.
There was an owl. Gold crowned me. I knew her name. Shhh no more child. Tell the truth child. The owl, Shhh tell the truth child. She sang. Shhh hum to me turn me into gold, face the cold. Shhh the sound rang. Shhh child don't cry. The cold, shhh she sang loud and proud. No words, Just be. Know i am here now. See me. Please. Shhh be quiet child, no more child. I flew. I wore the crown. I passed no time. I have the gold crown. The owl knew. She seen in me the heaviness. My heart was pure, heavy she knew my worth. Crowned me gold, silver, emeralds and rubies. She gave to me the keys to life. Illuminated my crown she was quiet and wise. I loved her, she loved me. Wisdom flew into me from her. I was no liar. She saw me first. She knew my womb long before i did. She sang to me eons ago my name. I heard the screams from the otherside. It was warm and i was ready. I wasn't a liar, i lived in her lair. She promised to crown me when i could fly. Shhh child. Enough.

Progress Update #4// 4/3/24
Tumblr media
Hey everyone, just wanted to update you all on the story.
I've started a new process for the past few days where I write for two hours and then take fifteen-thirty minute breaks in between. I'm still blanking on what to write for a section sometimes, but I'm really trying not to have grayed out choices again. That was NOT fun.
Still, the writing process shouldn't be forced, but sometimes you just really need to kick your own ass and grab that text file by the ears. Plus, this is the most productive I've felt since getting my wisdom teeth removed.
In celebration of this new bout of inspiration, here's a sneak peek of an upcoming scene you may encounter in the update.
Alright, that's it. This girl can't just bully you away because she doesn't like you. You hadn't even done anything when she first started acting nasty towards you. Yes, you may have walked away in the middle of a conversation, but she had been so…aggressive. You weren't just going to stand there and take it, and you definitely weren't going to start now. So, you take a step closer to Claire, giving her a leveled glare of your own. "Last time I checked, this table doesn't belong to you." Tension quickly fills the air around the two of you. Claire doesn't respond to your retort, but she doesn't need to. Her body language gives you all the information you need to know.
Ooooh boi, what the hell did you do to make Claire this mad at you. And on the first day? Tragic.
Along with that we'll be getting into a few things before finally ending episode 1:
Reworked the gender system of the counselors. Now you can choose from the beginning how you want them to be.
Added the choice to be non-binary (a new batch of campers, hooyay!). Also need to add onto scenes with Asher, Claire, and Lucas.
Meeting the final two counselors (Ruby and Silas).
An added scene with E for returning MCs during your walk to the mess hall.
Going through orientation, including a fun scavenger hunt (Uncle Robert said it would be fun, don't believe him).
A small scene with your new roommates in your cabins.
I'm so excited just thinking about it, and I'm the one writing the dang story.
If you hadn't seen it yet, I answered an ask a little bit ago about doing visuals for the blog. I'm not the best at visual media (that's more my mother's thing) but I can use a character maker like a mf if I have too.
It was kinda nice, a little limiting, but it was surprisingly helpful for me to have it. I've thought about how these characters look for so long it's strange to suddenly see them brought to life in any type of way except text. The character bios have been updated with these pictures now.
(UPDATE: LITERALLY MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT DECISION: SLEEP DEPRIVED AF BEHAVIOR)
So, I wrote this update yeaterday and was planning for it to just post through queue like I normally do, but the situation has changed. The demo will be updated again, however the stopping point is literally the same. The only major changes are the gender system, adding being non-binary, and having everything on one file (pray for me). The stopping point is still the same.
All in all the word count is now at this point: 57k (W/O Code), 14K (average). Not a huge jump average wise, but I'm happy anyway.
Link to demo here.
(END OF EMERGENCY UPDATE)
That's all I wanted to talk about for now, if you run into any bugs just let me know and I'll fix it lickity split.
See you all on the next update!
P.S. - I love it when new people follow and only like the posts of certain counselors. I know who you're into now ;).

Emblem Engage! (Full) // Fire Emblem Engage
Happy 1st anniversary to Fire Emblem Engage!
Lyrics:
Rise from a thousand years ago Shaking off a hazy dream
Meet the flower who cares for everyone The rising force of blackened steel Fighting in the desert sand
Meet the snow that sweeps across the fields The light and dark restore our skies Tonight, heal the wounds and learn from yesterday
You calling out their names Crossing paths again Twelve are coming through Bless us from another place Do you remember me?
Memories of red and blue Reignite in you Bare your fangs and all Free yourself forever more Here and now
(Emblem, engage!)
Bonds of fire connect us Love provides, protects us Like the heroes from the pages Like the stories of the ages
Bonds of hope unite us Shining on, to guide us Skies above embrace the beauty The time is now for you and me
Though it led us to a new today Scars of pain can only fade away Healing winds are blowing through
Night of shadows cast reminding us Of heroes seen of dreams of past again Advise us with wise council and acumen
Seven are slumbering Flames are flickering, in this ruined world A promise to uphold Will you remember me?
Under the shrouded moon, silver gleams anew, clouds are soaring high Summon words across the sky Heed our call!
(Emblem eternal)
Bonds of love emboldened, when the emblems have woken But the faces in the mirror, twin reflections growig clearer
Bonds of light to lead us A new dawn to greet us Dragonstone as red as ruby You and I for all eternity
Fighting beside you is the greatest honor I've ever known Standing together so we never have to battle alone As we did that day of reckoning
You calling out their names Crossing paths again Twelve are coming through Bless us from another place Do you remember me?
Memories of red and blue Reignite in you Bare your fangs and all Free yourself forever more Here and now
(Emblem, ENGAGE!)
Bonds of fire connect us Love provides, protects us Like the wisdom of the sages Like the emblems of the ages
Bonds of hope unite us Shining on to guide us Skies beyond embrace the beauty The time is now for you and me
Woven into all our memories The fire emblem burns eternally

lnombredelarosa's take on what the main cast thinks of one another
Some of this are pure headcanon, others are supported by interaction but lnombredelarosa feels all of them make sense.
Ruby
Yang
Usually looks for encouragemnt on her but sometimes afraid of dissapointing her
Her words on vol 8 about how things hadn't gone the way they had hoped for from following her still stung Ruby throughout volume 9
Jaune
Her confidant whose presence always lightens her up; more willing to open up to him without fear of his doubting her
His awkwardness did innitially made her cringe, though
Kinda reminds her of her dad and Yang but more on her maturity level
His change in the everafter has made it difficult to connect with him like she usually does
Oscar
Sees herself on him; noting his growth makes her feel like she herself is growing
A part of her was glad he wasn't in the Everafter to see her at her lowest
After the ascension she now feels she can empathize better with Oscar's merger
Weiss
Sometimes difficult to talk with, which in turn makes it more fun to try to talk to her (specially when annoying her)
Unlike everyone else, Ruby sometimes forgets Weiss is older
Recented her for adjusting to the trauma in vol 9 better than she herself did, including her taking a liking of the changed Jaune, feeling Weiss should feel just as miserable about it all as she was feeling
Ren
His presence makes her feel calm as she appreciates his mature outlook at things
Seeing him get emotional in volume 4 disturbed her
Wished he had been there to say something wise to in volume 9
Nora
Always fun to hang out with and fight beside but doesn't feel she can trust her with subtler things
Wished she had been there to lighten up the situation in the Everafter
Blake
Respects her worldly wisdom; takes her advices to heart
In volume 9 she recented her previous encouragement as exemplified by her telling her to "shut up" feeling undeserving of that trust she put in her
Qrow
She's always looked up to him and still does but no longer has an idealized view of him
Second father and mentor
Penny
Identifies with her wanting to form a connection to others, like she herself innitially struggled to do
Often listens to Penny's doubts and tell her she can relate to what she feels but tends to avoid communicating her own doubts feeling it will scare her
When the Paper pleasers died her anger at Jaune over his losing "made believe friends" was her anger at herself over feeling broken from losing her
Weiss
Yang
Has an easier time showing weakness to her than to anyone else
Likes her with Blake because seeing her in a good mood makes her feel more at ease
Projects her sister on her
Jaune
She has come to associate being with him with feeling safe on a personal and physical level
The way he has helped her and shown his character in several key moments has caused this association
His rusted knight self reminded her of her grandfather who caused her a simmilar reaction
She subconsciously remembers his protecting the lil' Weisses in the Icequeendom
Oscar
Often doesn't know how to approach him but when she does tends to be indulgent of him
Projects her brother (or at least how he was on warmer times) on him, which along with other things made her more curious about reaching to Whitely
Headcanon: allowed him to pick the movie when she went with him and Jaune
Ruby
Feels she should set an example for her but often forgets to as she ends up acting more like her
Innitially projected current Whitley (the one who always got everything) on her but has come to project herself instead and feels she should be her Winter
A part of her figured her trying to remain in control in the Everafter would set a good example for Ruby to do the same much like she feels Winter would've done for her
Blake
Looks up to her the most; feels she sets a standard of decency to follow
Wishes she'd had a parent like her
Her adjusting to her being a faunus so fast was to a degree lip service to get rid of a source of conflict but with time it became completely sincere, specially after seeing how affected she was by the White Fang attack
Nora
More Ruby than Ruby herself, which makes her feel even more responsible for her recklesness
Ren
Sense of empathy; the way he tries to maintain his serenity reminds her of the image of strenght she tends to prefer projecting
Blake
Yang
Feels she can rely on her; her strenght of character makes her feel safe while inspiring her to be stronger herself and her gentleness makes her feel her feelings are validated
Freudianly reminds her of her dad but with her mom's easygoing attitude
Jaune
Finds him easy to approach though at times finds his lack of tact annoying
His edgy lookin Rusty Knight self reminded her of Adam back in his better moments
Ruby
Has the most trust in her which is why she tends to be the most supportive of her decisions
This makes sense because she is the most used to following chains of command
In the Everafter, she rationalized if Ruby needed help she would've said as much sooner
Ren
Enjoys his company and how he gives her a break from her more fast paced teammates
Still she occasionally find him dull by comparison
Nora
Admires her determination; doesn't mind her recklessness as much as others
When talking to her about how she felt without Ren, she was thinking of her own relationships with Adam and Yang
Weiss
Taught her that eveyrone has their own story; tries to understand her outlook as a basis on how to understand humans
Figure that is she can change her outlook, then anyone can
"Perhaps she was right about us" she thought as Beacon fell and Yang was crippled
Oscar
Less condescending than most of the others; tends to treat him as an equal
She too started seeing action at an earlier and untried age than the others so she understands his position
Yang
Ruby
Conflicted between seeing her as a leader and seeing her as her little sister; often overdoes one or the other
Came to develop more respect for her leadership after seeing how difficult managing a team was in vol 8
In volume 9 she was putting off helping her deal with her loss because she herself didn't feel confident enough to be of use to her
Jaune
Finds him amusing; often enjoys his antics where others would be cringed at them
Seeing him take lead as her and Ren argued allowed her to gain more respect for him
Liked him for Ruby but wasn't pushy about it
Blake
Her presence calms and guides her; without her around she feels more doubtful
Her closeness with her in volume 9 was a way to cope for her own feelings of failure
Weiss
Feels like she can be blunt with her both because she can take it and because she takes herself too seriously
Much like her dad is with her
Nora
Friendly rivalry; enjoys trying to one up her
Her pulling the arm off when armwrestling was because she was afraid of losing
Ren
Appreciates his common sense and usually gets along with him pretty well but finds him hard to approach when in his moods
His words in volume 8 still stung throughout volume 9 wondering her own capacity to make good decisions
Oscar
Often acts like an encouraging big sister, usually pushing him to be more proactive
Was projecting her former image of Ruby on him when he was kidnapped
Suspects he likes Ruby; doesn't hold it against him but for obvious reasons he wouldn't be her first choice
Oscar
Yang
Often feels like following her lead but gets embarassed when he can't keep up with her
Ruby
Idolizes her; her strenght inspires him to try to be strong on his own
His becoming more and more like Ozpin has in turn made him feel he has to put up a distance between them, being afraid of manipulating her like he feels Ozpin would
Nora
Uncomfortable by her displays of love but down the line he appreciates them
Reminds him of his aunt whom she feels guilty of leaving
Blake
Likes that she doesn't baby him; feels he can act more naturally with her
Jaune
The easy going and fun big brother he never had
Feels he can relax when he is with him
"He must've been a really cool guy back at Beacon" cue everyone else trying not to laugh
Feels slightly jealous of his being seen as an equal by Ruby but doesn't recent him for it
Ren
Appreciates how he tends to be more sensitive to his being scared
Weiss
He feels she tend tends to ignore him and doesn't know how to act around her but is usually glad when she is more willing to talk to him
Ships her with Jaune
Ren
Ruby
Tries to be sensitive with her, being the most aware of Ruby's mental condition
Was the most accomodating of her when she joined JNR, realizing she was PTSDing
His "Ruby is barely more than a kid" points that a part of him suspects her mental health was a time bomb
Yang
Finds her charismatic but is also somewhat envious of her self confidence
His feeling redundant due to knowing she is both physically stronger and a more skilled fighter doesn't help
Normally they get along wonderfully, as his being around Nora has made him appreciate her silly sense of humor
Jaune
Relies on him as a confidant whom he doesn't actively confide in, because Jaune is just that good at reading him
Innitially wanted to keep an emotional distance and found him somewhat annoying but over time grew to think of him as a friend as he kept pointing out stuff he prefered keeping bottled up
After a while of knowing him thought his having cheated into Beacon was fairly obvious but figured that until he proved detrimental to the team it was none of his business
Oscar
When he sees him afraid he sees himself and Nora
Thats why his being kidnapped affected him so much
Empathizes with his desire to grow stronger
Pyrrha
She tended to actively reach out to him always asking him how he was doing when he remained stoic
Pure Headcanon I know
Nora
Sense of responsability; he feels that he must be there for her which is why at times he distances himself from her
Occasionally feels he is not good enough for her due to her being physically stronger
Admires how she is upfront about confronting problems just like his father told him
Part of the reason he occasionally pushes her away is because he reasons (in a very Mistralian way) this is a more efficient way to keep themselves safe
Weiss
Innitially held (unvoiced) reservations of her for her attitude and social status but she has consistently surprised him in that regard (Pure headcanon)
He found himself feeling happy that she went after them in volume 5
Figured Jaune was setting himself for dissapointment with her; he will be the most surprised about her current thing for him
Blake
Likes the fact that he can have a more mature conversation with her
Occasionally finds himself thinking her rather dull compared to his teammates
Qrow
"Thats how a real Huntsman should be like"...then he started getting drunk
Nora
Ruby
Innitially felt threatened by having to include her in her team's dynamics but has come to appreciate her as a perky little sister
Yang
Friendly rivals; enjoys having someone to measure strenghts with
Seeing her without an arm affected her
Oscar
Has strong maternal feelings that she sometimes overdoes
Feels responsible for him due to her own mother having abandoned her
Jaune
She enjoys teasing him knowing that he'll get embarassed where Ren won't
However, she actually respects his leadership the most being the first one to follow his orders
Ren
Protecting and following him gives her a sense of purpose
Enjoys having a more mature partner to guide her through more complicated stuff
Understands he has to keep his space but sometimes wishes he'll tell her how he feels
Freudianly proyects her mom on him, having found him soon after she left her
Blake
Thinks of her as a confidant for the more complicated stuff she herself keeps bottled in
Usually she is more lighthearted about it
This is partly due to being simmilar but more open than Ren
Comming from a poor background herself, empathizes with her social views
Pyhrra
Often enjoyed getting a reaction out of her
Jaune
Pyrrha
Saw her as a role model he can only aspire to be like
Reminds him of Saph (as implied by his dream in the Ice Queendom)
Yang
Likes hanging out with her due to her encouraging personality and doesn't feel like lowering the cringe around her
Reminds him of his red sister (the maternal one)
Ruby
Feels he has a like minded soul on her; he feels the fact that she can trust him despite the the insecurities he hold is a reason to trust his own leadership
His dissapointment at her in vol 9 is a reflection of his own feeling of failure
Reminds him of his indigo sisters (the fun ones he follows around)
Ren
He can read through his moods better than most which has contributed to his bond with him
He is to Ren what Ren is to most of the crew
Reminds him of his light blue sister (the smart one)
Nora
Her presence and teasing always keeps him upbeat
Reminds him of his green sister (the tomboyish one)
Oscar
Feels like he owes it to himself to be there for Oscar like Pyhrra and his sisters were there for him
Reminds him of Adrian
Blake
Often embarassed by her poiting out things he misses (headcanon) but in a funny way
Reminds him of his purple sister (the practical one)
Weiss
Her acceptance of him as he matured has allowed him to better appreciate his own maturity
Unlike any of his sisters, their relationship wasn't unconditional and that has pushed him to mature
Qrow
Never quite forgave him for putting Pyrrha in the line of fire with the Maiden business
Note:
For the most part they've all come to dissociate Oscar from Ozpin
Weiss tries to project an image of strenght and control but occasionally lowers it with key people
Blake has some people pleaser habits from her days with Adam
Ren holds some traditionalist mistralian beliefs in regards to relationships as exemplified by his tendency to hold back his emotions
He is however more progressively minded in most fronts (such as the treatment of Faunus and foreigners), as the people in the mistralian settlements near Vale are more prone to be

The Wisdom that only God can give
Proverbs 8:11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
Proverbs 4:5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.4:6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.4:8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.4:9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
Psalm 107:43 Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
The Lord gives wisdom
Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.2:7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.2:8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.2:9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.2:10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;2:11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
Proverbs 10:13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.10:14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
If any lack wisdom ask the Lord in faith
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.1:7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

Daily Devotionals for December 22, 2024
Proverbs: God's Wisdom for Daily Living
Devotional Scripture:
Proverbs 31:10-12 (KJV): 10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. Proverbs 31:10-12 (AMP): 10 A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman -- who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or pearls. 11 The heart of her husband trusts in her confidently and relies on and believes in her securely, so that he has no lack of (honest) gain or need of (dishonest) spoil. 12 She comforts, encourages, and does him only good as long as there is life within her.
Thought for the Day
The remainder of Proverbs 31 records Bathsheba's instruction to Lemuel in choosing a wife. It is tragic that he failed to follow her advice. Solomon's wives did not know the Lord, and turned his heart from God to worship idols when he was old (1 Kings 11:1-13). Thus, a life that began magnificently ended miserably. The man who penned and preached a thousand wise things failed to practice the wisdom he taught. This chapter is not only advice for choosing a virtuous woman, but is also a spiritual type of the church (Christ's bride) who should demonstrate the qualities of the virtuous woman to the world.
Verse 10 - The first thing that is established is the price of a virtuous woman's worth. Like a costly jewel, she is not easy to come by. I believe every man needs God's help to find this kind of woman. We know that it is the Lord's will for a man to have a mate if he desires one, because after He had created Adam, He said: "...It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him" (Genesis 2:18). God's favor rests on the man who prays and waits for the right mate, so that they can serve God together. God is delighted to answer such a man's prayer and will bring the right woman into his life at the appointed time.
Verses 11-12 - A virtuous woman is a comfort to her husband; encouraging him and doing him good all the days of her life. She never leaves or divorces him. Her husband can trust her completely, because she loves him for who he is and not for what he can do for her. Since he does not have to impress her with his ability to make money, he is not tempted to take anything by dishonest gain. A woman who marries a man for his money or for the security he provides does not marry for the right motives. When two people enter into a marriage with the idea of loving and serving each other, their marriage will be blessed because it is not based on selfishness.
In the past, we looked at the importance of being led by the Holy Spirit in choosing a mate and not allowing ourselves to be led only by our emotions. Love is much more than simply "falling" for someone and experiencing a sense of euphoria. The Lord certainly gives us wonderful feelings for the person we will marry. However, allowing feelings alone to guide us in the choice of a mate, can be disastrous. This description of a virtuous woman is a guide for choosing a spouse. The Lord delights to bring the best life partner to those who ask Him to do so and wait with patience and trust for His choice. What a glorious plan God has had from the beginning for both men and women!
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, thank you for sending me a wonderful lady. Let me always be a good and loving husband to her. Lord, I pray for all those who are seeking mates, that You will send them the right one for their lives. I also lift up those who have troubled marriages and I ask that You heal them and restore that first love in their hearts for each other. Give them Your Love for each other. Help them overcome selfishness, and heal each of them from the wounds that they have inflicted on one another by their angry and hurtful words. You are the God of miracles, perform a miracle for those who need one in their marriages. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

1 Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? (Mat 3:3, Joh 7:37)
2 She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths. (Mat 5:1)
3 She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors. (Mat 22:9, Joh 18:20)
4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. (Mat 9:13, 11:15)
5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. (Luk 7:35)
6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. (Mat 5:2-12, Mat 7:28-29)
7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. (Joh 8:45-46)
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. (Mat 7:29, Joh 7:45)
9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. (Mat 13:11-12, Joh 6:45)
10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. (Luk 12:16-21)
11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. (Mat 16:26)
12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. (Mar 4:21-22)
13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. (Mat 23)
14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. (Luk 21:15)
15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. (Mat 28:18)
16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. (Mat 28:18)
17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. (Joh 14:21-23, Mat 7:7-8)
18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. (Mat 6:19-20, luk 10:42, Mat 6:33)
19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. (Luk 12:32-34)
20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: (Joh 10:3)
21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures. (Mat 25:46, Joh 1:1-18)
22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.(Joh 1:1-2)
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. (Joh 17:24)
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. (Joh 1:14)
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: (Joh 1:1-3)
26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; (Mat 3:17, Joh 1:18)
31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men. (Joh 4:34, Joh 13:1)
32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways. (Luk 11:28)
33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. (Mat 7:21-27)
34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. (Mar 13:32-37)
35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. (Joh 3:36, Joh 14:6)
36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death. (Joh 3:19-20, Joh 15:23-24)

The Excellence of Wisdom
1 Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding give forth her voice?
2 On the top of high places by the way, at the cross-paths she taketh her stand.
3 Beside the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors, she crieth aloud.
4 Unto you, men, I call, and my voice is to the sons of man:
5 O ye simple, understand prudence; and ye foolish, understand sense.
6 Hear, for I will speak excellent things, and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
7 For my palate shall meditate truth, and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing tortuous or perverse in them.
9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold:
11 for wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things that may be desired are not equal to it.
12 I wisdom dwell [with] prudence, and find the knowledge [which cometh] of reflection.
13 The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth do I hate.
14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am intelligence; I have strength.
15 By me kings reign, and rulers make just decrees;
16 by me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth.
17 I love those that love me; and they that seek me early shall find me.
18 Riches and honour are with me; durable wealth and righteousness.
19 My fruit is better than fine gold, yea, than pure gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
20 I walk in the path of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
21 that I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasuries.
22 Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23 I was set up from eternity, from the beginning, before the earth was.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth, when there were no fountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth;
26 while as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the beginning of the dust of the world.
27 When he prepared the heavens I was there; when he ordained the circle upon the face of the deep;
28 when he established the skies above, when the fountains of the deep became strong;
29 when he imposed on the sea his decree that the waters should not pass his commandment, when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
30 then I was by him [his] nursling, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
31 rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth, and my delights [were] with the sons of men.
32 And now, sons, hearken unto me, and blessed are they that keep my ways:
33 hear instruction and be wise, and refuse it not.
34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and obtaineth favour of Jehovah;
36 but he that sinneth against me doeth violence to his own soul: all they that hate me love death. — Proverbs 8 | 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY) The Darby Translation of the Holy Bible is in the public domain. The Virtuous Wife
Guide to Becoming a Proverbs 31 Woman
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
We can develop a noble character by following Gods teachings. Let’s dig a little deeper!
Her husband has full confidence in her.
Trust is built over time. Just as we trust fully in the Lord, we also must trust fully in our partners and vice versa.
This isn’t only about remaining loyal, but also about being emotionally vulnerable in marriage.
She works with eager hands.
Life is a blessing! God does not promise us an easy life, but one in which we can trust in His continual guidance. So, that being said, make the most of your time.
Doing the dishes means we have food to eat. Washing laundry means we’re blessed with clothes to wear.
She gets up while it is dark; she provides food for her family.
I’m not a morning person. Not at all. But God has blessed me with the gift of time and I am learning to value each moment by waking up early to spend time with Him.
We have an amazing opportunity to show our love to our families through services like preparing food for them . Just like Jesus served others!
She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.
Do all things for the Lord! Even mundane chores can be a form of worship and service.
Femininity is not an equivalent to being weak. Rather, she is a strong woman and a provider.
She sees that her trading is profitable.
As much as I love shopping, it’s important to recognize the importance of money management.
She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
Jesus calls us to humbly serve others. Some ways to do this are to volunteer at a local food pantry, donate to charities, donate old clothes, give blood, etc.
Don’t forget the key word: humbly. What we do in secret, our Father will reward us for.
Her husband is respected at the city gate.
Marriage is a union of two flesh becoming one. Wives are representatives of their husbands and vice versa.
Likewise, it’s essential to choose a husband wisely. A man of God.
She is clothed with strength and dignity, she can laugh at the days to come.
Strength comes from the Lord. Rely on His power and understanding, not your own.
Laughing at the days to come means having complete faith that God will provide. Rejoice always, in the good and bad, for this is the will of the Father!
She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
Let your wisdom and instruction be the words of God through you. Study your Bible everyday, even for just a few minutes, and pray that He will give you understanding.
She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Watch over your loved ones and guide them to Christ.
Idleness is a trap! It leaves us feeling guilty and like we’ve wasted our time, whereas being productive makes us happy and feeling accomplished. Please, utilize the precious time God has given you to serve Him.
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.
This verse is about how your faithfulness and service to God will be a light to others. Let your children see your blessings, attribute them to God, and be praised.
Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Charm and physical beauty are not qualities that God is looking for, neither is a man of God prioritizing.
Let your beauty be from within. Fear the Lord, or in other words, respect Him and recognize the great works He has done.
Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
All of the above seem like quite a lot to keep in mind, but it’s a journey God will guide us through.
Keep in mind that this is not for nothing, but for the glory of God! Not only will you be praised by your loved ones, but by the Almighty!

8 Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
2 She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.
3 She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.
4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.
6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.
10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.
13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.
15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.
22 The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.
32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.
36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

The Ruby Necklace: A Tale of Legacy, Love, and Ancient Wisdom
In the heart of a bustling city, amidst the cacophony of life's demands and desires, there existed a quaint little jewelry shop. Tucked away in a corner, its windows adorned with sparkling displays, it beckoned passersby with the promise of beauty and significance.
Within the confines of this cherished establishment, an exquisite ruby necklace lay nestled in a velvet-lined case, its crimson hue radiating warmth and allure. For generations, this necklace had been passed down through a lineage of strong, resilient women, each adding their own chapter to its story.
The tale began with Isabella, a young bride whose eyes sparkled with excitement as her groom presented her with the ruby necklace on their wedding day. It was a symbol of their eternal love, a token of his devotion.
As the years passed, the necklace witnessed the joys and sorrows of Isabella's life—birthdays celebrated with laughter and tears shed in moments of grief. Through it all, the ruby gleamed as a reminder that love endures through every trial.
But it was during a fateful journey to distant lands that the true story of the ruby necklace was revealed. In a remote village nestled amidst towering mountains, Isabella encountered a wise old woman who spoke of the ruby's ancient magic.
According to local lore, the ruby possessed the ability to heal wounded hearts and mend broken spirits. It was said that those who wore the necklace would be blessed with love, joy, and prosperity.
As Isabella sat enraptured by the old woman's words, she felt a sense of wonder wash over her. Here was a tale woven with threads of ancient wisdom, each word dripping with the weight of centuries of belief and tradition. The old woman spoke of rubies as more than just gemstones—they were talismans of power, symbols of protection, and vessels of divine energy.
Throughout recorded time, rubies had been revered for their potent protective properties, believed to safeguard their wearers from harm and evil. Isabella listened intently as the old woman recounted tales of antiquity.
In the Middle Ages, rubies were thought to hold the key to victory in all circumstances, offering special protections against maladies and danger. Sorcerers and magicians wielded ruby amulets as shields against malevolent spirits, harnessing the gemstone's mystical energy for their own purposes.
But it was the stories of ancient Burmese warriors that truly captivated Isabella's imagination. Rubies, revered for their supposed invincibility on the battlefield, were inserted under the skin to ward off spears, swords, and bullets. They buried rubies under the foundations of buildings for protection against evil spirits
As the old woman spoke Isabella felt a newfound respect for the gemstone resting against her skin.
In sacred traditions across cultures, rubies held a place of honor. From engraved images of the Buddha to Islamic tales of Atlas carrying the earth on his shoulders atop a large ruby, the gemstone was steeped in symbolism and significance.
The ruby symbolized the divine sacrifice of Christ on the cross, its deep hue reminiscent of the blood shed for humanity's salvation. Isabella couldn't help but recall biblical accounts of the gem-encrusted breastplate of the High Priest of Israel, where a ruby shone among the precious stones.
Intrigued by the woman's words, Isabella returned home with all this knowledge.
And so, the ruby necklace became more than just a piece of fine jewelry—it became a symbol of hope and renewal, a beacon of light in a world fraught with darkness.
Evenings around the crackling fire held a special magic for Isabella. As the flames danced and flickered, casting a warm glow over the room, she would gather her loved ones close and weave the tale of the ruby necklace.
With the ruby necklace cradled in her hands, Isabella's voice would take on a gentle cadence, drawing her listeners into a world of ancient wisdom and timeless tradition. She would speak of the ruby's journey through generations.
As the fire crackled and popped, Isabella would recount the stories she had heard—the tales of rubies as talismans of power and protection, revered by warriors and sorcerers alike. She would speak of the ancient beliefs and customs surrounding rubies, from their use in battle to their role in sacred rituals and ceremonies.
With each word, Isabella would infuse the story with her own sense of wonder and reverence, honoring the legacy that had been passed down to her. And as the night wore on, her listeners would hang on her every word, captivated by the magic of the ruby necklace and the stories it held.
When Isabella's daughter, Sophia, came of age, the necklace was passed down to her, carrying with it the legacy of her mother's love.
With each wearing, Sophia felt a connection to the past, a sense of belonging that transcended generations. Today, as the ruby necklace graces the neck of yet another generation, its significance remains unchanged. It continues to embody the timeless bond of love and the enduring strength of the human spirit, proving that sometimes, the most precious treasures are those steeped in significance.
Sophy started asking questions about her ruby necklace and this is the information she gathered.
What is a ruby? Ruby gemstones are a variety of the mineral corundum. More specifically, they are the red variety, which is colored by chromium. Other colors of corundum are classified as sapphire. The word “ruby” comes from the Latin word “ruber” for the red hue. All rubies are red, yet they can have orange, pink or purple tints.
How are rubies made?
Rubies form deep underground where it's super hot and pressurized. When oxygen and aluminum atoms are squished together, they make a rock called corundum. Add some chromium to the mix, and you've got yourself a ruby! Sometimes, if there's also ferric iron around, the ruby might have a cool orange or pink tint to it.
Where are rubies found in the world?
The best rubies come from Burma (Myanmar), but you can find them in other places too! They're mined in places like Afghanistan, Australia, Cambodia, India, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, the United States, and Vietnam.
How hard are rubies?
Rubies are tough, ranking 9 on the Mohs scale, just one step below diamonds. That means they're super durable! But here's a fun fact: even though rubies are tough, sometimes the chromium in them can make little cracks. It's kind of like how a tough guy might have a soft spot! Despite that, when rubies grow big and crystal clear, they can be even more valuable than diamonds. So, while diamonds are the hardest gemstones, rubies aren't far behind!
How rare are rubies? Rubies are like rare treasures in the gemstone world! The rarest ones are found in Myanmar, because they're super high-quality and have the most amazing colors. Finding good quality rubies that are bigger than one carat is like finding a needle in a haystack! That's why they're so rare and valuable. It's like they're the unicorns of the gem world!
What are rubies used for?
Rubies are often used to make stunning jewelry, but they're also used in many other things! Both natural and man-made rubies are super strong and glow red, so they're used in watches, medical tools, lasers, and more!
How big is the largest ruby?
The current titleholder of the largest ruby is the 125West Ruby. This unpolished rough-cut gemstone weighs 8.2 pounds, That is a whopping 18696 carats.
She also found out that ruby is the birthstone for July. It’s also the traditional gift for 15th and 40th wedding anniversaries.
